Students cannot be, what they cannot see.
Become a Mentor
How do our internships work?
Selected students, based upon grades, maturity, and workforce readiness, intern one day per week during the academic year with a Mentor (corporation, business, institution or nonprofit) within New Haven and Fairfield Counties. Students attend school four days per week and one day to a Mentor site to acquire real-world professional experience. To maintain their grades, students have access to our Student Success Center where tutors provide specialized learning, ensuring the highest level of academic achievement.
To prepare students for a professional environment, they attend a mandatory one-week professional training the Summer before their internships begin. Upon completion of our program, students receive .5 academic credit for their participation each year.
